Delete your account and data
Effective date: 2026-07-30 · Last updated: 2026-09-12 · Version: 1.1
This page explains how to delete your mySEHA account and the health data in it, what deletion erases, and what survives it. It applies to the mySEHA mobile application, operated by VETRA LLC.
You can delete your account from inside the App, or by emailing us — you do not need to install or reinstall the App to have your data erased.
1. Delete your account from inside the App
Open the App and go to Me → Privacy & Data → Delete your account.
You will be shown exactly what will be erased, and asked to type the word DELETE to confirm. This is a deliberate multi-step confirmation rather than a single tap, because the deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.
2. Delete your account without the App
Email privacy@myseha.ai from the email address on your mySEHA account, with the subject Delete my account. If you signed up with a phone number rather than an email address, say so and include that number.
We may need to confirm that the request comes from the account holder before we act on it. We will only ask for what is necessary to establish that, and we will not ask you to send identity documents.
We acknowledge every request and complete it within 30 calendar days of receiving it, and usually sooner. If a request turns out to be complex and we need longer, we will tell you before that deadline and explain why.
This route is available whether or not you still have the App installed, and whether or not you can still sign in.
3. What deleting your account erases
Deleting your account removes the following from our live systems, for you and for every family or dependant profile you created:
- Your account and sign-in details — email address, phone number, password hash, any Apple or Google sign-in identifier, and your mySEHA patient identifier.
- Your health profiles — name, date of birth, sex, country, language, and every piece of health context you entered, including for family members and children in your care.
- Your lab results and the documents behind them — the uploaded files themselves, the values extracted from them, the reference ranges used, and the page text read from them.
- Everything the App generated from your data — analyses, health scores, findings, recommendations and biomarker connections.
- Medications, doses, adherence logs and prescriptions, including a prescribing doctor or clinic printed on a prescription.
- Vital signs, weight, body measurements and body composition — blood pressure, pulse, glucose, waist, DEXA and InBody results.
- Meals, nutrition, hydration, fasting, symptoms, mood, energy and sleep, including free-text and voice-dictated notes.
- Vaccinations, screenings, test reminders and family health history.
- Insurance card details, emergency contacts and paediatric growth records.
- Health and fitness data synced from Apple Health or Health Connect.
- Usage records held against you — including the record of which biomarker pages you opened.
- Your contact in our email provider, so you stop receiving service email from us.
Deletion is immediate in our live systems. Your account is removed last, only after every one of the items above has been erased, so a partial deletion never leaves data behind without an account to act on.
4. What deletion cannot reach, and for how long
We should be precise about one thing. Deletion from our systems cannot reach copies held briefly by the providers who process data on our behalf, or our own routine backups. None of these is accessible to us as a user record, none is used for any purpose other than the provider’s own operational and safety functions, and all expire without further action.
| Holder | What persists | For how long |
|---|---|---|
| Anthropic (AI analysis) | Biomarker values, health context and document images submitted for analysis | Up to 7 days, for operational and safety purposes. Not used to train models |
| Google Gemini (voice transcription and food search) | The audio of a voice note, and food names sent for matching | A limited period set by Google, to detect misuse. Under its terms for paid API use, not used to improve its products |
| Sentry (crash diagnostics) | Error and performance events, including your account identifier | Its own event-retention schedule |
| Brevo (email) | Send logs recording that a message was sent, and its type | Its own log-retention schedule |
| Expo (push notifications) | Delivery logs, including notification text | Its own log-retention schedule |
| Twilio and Meta/WhatsApp (login codes) | Records of login-code delivery to your phone number | Their own retention schedules |
| Cloudflare | IP addresses in edge and server logs | Its own log-retention schedule |
| Our database backups | Whatever was in the database at the time the backup was taken | Overwritten on a rolling schedule; they cannot be edited to remove one record |
We may also keep the minimum required to meet a legal obligation, where one applies. Everything these providers hold is described on our Sub-processors page.
One copy is not on our systems at all. So that the App works without a connection, your phone keeps a local cache of what you have recently viewed — lab results, findings, medications and vital signs among them. Signing out does not by itself clear that cache, so on a shared device the information can still be readable to whoever opens the App next. It is removed when the App is uninstalled, and in the meantime you can require Face ID, Touch ID or your device passcode to open it. We would rather tell you this than let you assume signing out is enough.
5. Deleting individual records instead
You do not have to delete your whole account to remove something. Inside the App you can delete a single lab result, document, medication, vitals entry, meal or family profile at any time, and the deletion is immediate.
Two things are worth knowing. Deleting a source lab result does not necessarily remove every score or finding the App had already computed from it — if you want those gone too, tell us at privacy@myseha.ai. And disconnecting Apple Health or Health Connect stops any further data being read; it does not by itself erase readings already synced into your record.
6. If you only joined the waitlist
If you never created an app account and only signed up to the waitlist on this website, your details are held separately and are removed through the waitlist deletion page or by emailing privacy@myseha.ai.
7. Your other rights, and contact
Deletion is one of several rights you have. You can also access your data, correct it, withdraw your consent, object to or restrict our use of it, and receive a copy in a portable form. These are set out in full in our App Privacy Policy. You may also complain to the competent authority — in Egypt, the Personal Data Protection Centre.
